Learn More About Her:

  • Tell us a fact about you that no one knows.
    • I can recite the periodic table of elements!
  • What is a quote you like to live?
    • “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” – Albert Einstein
  • Who inspired you to pursue your career today?
    •  I believe I slowly acclimated to being who I am in my career by always being studious and observant of people rather than just aspiring to be like one person. I had always had an affinity for working with details and piecing things together so I figured that paralegal school will help me hone my skills for a productive purpose. Naturally, there was not a lot of confidence in my abilities in the beginning, but as I slowly began my time with EBA, the staff and the clients proved to me that I am doing exactly what I initially pushed myself to be.
  • Is there one person who has made a difference in your career?
    • I remember in late March 2024, where a client was referred to us by a firm close to us. I remember the phone conversation I had with this client’s sister and we talked about her sister’s case and I remember laughing with her and talking with her as if she was in the room with me. This was the first time I felt like I was helping a person on the other end of that line. I was the one who helped this client all the way from the very first phone conversation, signing her contract, and opening up this case for the assigned attorney and legal assistant. This was the first time that all of my skills at EBA were used up to that point in a single case. From time to time I think about this client and her sister, and I thank them silently for helping me be able to help them, and I want them to know that they gave me the confidence I needed at the time to grow more in my career.
  • Do you have a secret skill?
    • I memorize license plate numbers for my closest friends and family, and I also keep a mental track of TN license plate numbers with vowels in them since they are so rare!
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
    • There is an obvious desire to continue to grow in my career and my knowledge in my role. I never want to stop learning and aspiring to higher and greater things. I want to be able to understand more complex cases and the litigation process overall and be more involved.
  • What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
    • Whatever you are doing or where you are at, always go above and beyond what is being asked of you. When you show that initiative, you will certainly become an asset wherever you go!
  • What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
    • Growing up I did not have an ear for it much, but I just started liking country music within the last year!
  • Which of your professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
    • I remember when I saw an EBA post on LinkedIn not too long ago about a case where our firm had just won a case against Unum for our client suffering with fibromyalgia, and my name was mentioned with helping on the intake team. I was described as “invaluable.” It helped me see that my work in the beginning accomplished something even months down the road for our client and that was the first time I saw that. It felt unreal to me!
  •  Is there anything people don’t understand about your job that you wish they did?
    •  Even though we are tasked with simple requests for any potential clients, there are actually a lot of aspects that are involved with following up with so many potential clients everyday. While it may be great to accomplish the quantity of tasks, to be able to do it with a great deal of quality is more than one may think.
