Bio:
Kaitlyn Barciszewski is a passionate advocate committed to seeking justice for individuals denied benefits by their insurance companies. Her dedication stems from a genuine desire to understand her clients’ stories and alleviate their legal burdens. Kaitlyn finds motivation in working diligently to prevent people with disabilities from losing what they have worked for, and she is equally motivated to establish better case precedents that can benefit future individuals facing similar challenges.
Background:
As a law student, Kaitlyn completed a summer clerkship at Eric Buchanan & Associates after her second year at Washington & Lee University School of Law. She was a recipient of the Louise A. Halper Award for Best Note in the Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, where she also served as an Editorial Board Member. Kaitlyn’s experience advocating for clients began at the Washington & Lee Advanced Administrative Litigation Clinic, representing coal miners and their survivors in federal black lung benefits cases. Before law school, Kaitlyn received her Bachelor’s degree in Law, Justice, & Society from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, where she graduated summa cum laude and earned the SALT scholar award for her volunteer and service project efforts.

Hobbies & Interests:
Beyond her legal pursuits, Kaitlyn enjoys quality time with family and friends, hiking the many trails around Chattanooga, reading, baking. When not enjoying her free time out and about, she loves to spend time at home with her sweet and rambunctious cats, Clementine and River.
